Nutrition & Lifestyle

Traditional Chinese medicine treats food as medicine.

As an Acupuncturist, I have been trained on the healing properties of food. Traditional Chinese Medicine has an extensive categorization of food properties such as foods that “clear heat”, “tonify body fluids”, “clear dampness”, etc. Thus, when assessing your health, we will discuss the types of foods you eat, amount, the time you eat, your flavor cravings, and then develop a plan to help support your health goals. (For example: drink mint tea if you are a person that constantly “feels hot”)

We will discuss your sleep patterns, exercise, stress levels and come up with a plan to improve your lifestyle decisions so they are conducive to your health goals. (For example: weight loss, ensure that you are asleep and/or in bed by 11pm)
